App review:

ES File Explorer v4.1.3

Phone model:

 Samsung J1-Ace

Android 4.4.4 (Kitkat)
Built-in-file-manager eat your heart out, there’s a blue file manager in town, packed with way more features than your average, ES file explorer means business when it comes to file management.

Sometimes you want to micro-manage your files on your device; you want to edit, view, and perhaps share, your files. Where most built-in file managers that come with your device only offer you the most basic of these utilities, ES excels above and beyond. A true file manager, ES gives you greater control of your files, from analysing the overall memory being used to allowing you to access your files by category, i.e. music files, or image files.
My preference over the built-in file manager, ES is designed with visual appeal, because ES isn’t all work and no play, so it doesn’t feel like a cold and rigid app. A loyal ES user for quite some time now, ES continues to add new functions and utilities to their updates, so it’s an app you probably won’t get bored of any time soon.

Powerful and elegant, ES does a great job at giving me control of my files, with its range of management functions.
